160 gsm | A5 | teddy bear notebook (dot, grid, lined)

I am a HUGE stationary nerd. Been this way for years (since the scholastic book fair as a child). I have worked and tested many different journals and notebooks over the years. This is by far my favorite brand so far. As a coquette lover I feel blessed to have Aarti's Journals in my life.
The cover is of amazing quality. A true hardcover that will last a long time.
As a bookbinder I appreciate the quality and effort put into the sewn signatures. The book lays perfectly flat and there's no "breaking in" the book. While I know that some folks love the feeling and sound of the glue cracking when they break in a new book, most of the time it's a sign of cheap design and damages the spine. Aarti's journals, on the other hand, are high quality. No need to worry about the pages falling out after several months of wear and tear. These books were built to last.
You can really tell every single detail was taken into account here. Even the strap that hold the journal shut is high quality, and properly fastened in. (I have had previous cheap journals where the strap comes undone almost right away, rendering it useless.)
And I'm not sure where to start on the paper. First of all, I appreciate how the grid is a lighter softer color, not distracting the eyes from what you write on the page (as a dyslexic, I especially appreciate this.).
The paper is incredibly smooth. There's no irritating scratch sound or feeling when your nails brush against it. It is simply smooth. The pages are thick, so it is actually difficult to damage or crease them. And you can tell she did NOT cheap out on the number of pages. There are still plenty of pages in here to last me an entire season of journaling (I write a lot.).

All-in-all an amazing level of quality. This is the first book I have purchased from Aarti, and I plan on becoming a collector. I am very excited to see how this brand grows. (Personally, I would love to see a line of pens. Especially to match the journals.)

And trust me, these journals are worth every single cent.

This journal caught my eye at the Little Craft Fest. I couldn’t stop thinking about it, and placed an order online not too long afterwards. The journal is well-crafted and has quickly become one of my favorites .

sooooo cute. the quality of the notebook is amazing. i havent done any fountain pen tests but the pages are thick enough that it shouldnt be a problem. i loved the freebies and the presentation of the box/wrapping. the bear charm book mark was an additional bonus. its a cozy and very cute notebook. i am happy with my purchase
